Don Bosco Secondary School, Mawkhlam
Mary Mother of Compassion Parish, Mawkhlam has one Secondary School at the centre, 6 Lower Primary Schools and 4 Upper Primary Schools in the village. The Secondary School at Mawkhlam with students up to class X was taken over from the village church immediately after the erection of the parish. The running of the school has been managed by the parish since February 2012. There are 15 teachers besides the priest who is the Headmaster. There are around 312 students from nursery to class 10 in Don Bosco Secondary School, Mawkhlam. Three religious sisters are also teaching in the school. The metric results have improved steadily ever since fathers have taken over the management.
