St. Francis de Sales School, Lengpui

St. Francis de Sales School, Lengpui is one of the latest ventures by the MSFS of Guwahati Province in the field of education. The decision of opening the school was to meet the persistent demand of the local residents who wish to have a Catholic institution. The school began with the initiative of the congregation and entrusted Rev. Fr. Francis Thadathil MSFS to begin the pioneering work. With the good collaboration of the village leaders, parents and the province administration he was able to put up the school structure within a short span of time. On 15th May 2017 the school was formally inaugurated by our dear Provincial Rev. George Panthanmackel MSFS, and was blessed by Most Rev. Stephen Rotluanga CSC, Bishop of Aizawl.

The school has the motto- “learning for excellence” in order to inculcate in the students a sense of hard work and to strive for beyond mediocre. The school opens classes from KG 1 to class II in the first year of its beginning with the total of 148 students which was a good amount. The classes will be upgraded by one more class in every new academic session. More students are expected to enroll each year and at present the school has a total number of five teaching staffs including the Headmaster and one non-teaching staff.
